What is Beyond Digital Labs?
Beyond Digital Labs is an independent software studio that builds local first Windows applications and sells them direct, without an app store in between. The catalogue covers GPU tooling, offline voice dictation, phone to desktop mirroring, permit tracking, accounting and telephony. The studio also builds custom software and automations for small businesses.
Why does Beyond Digital Labs sell direct instead of through an app store?
Because a store controls the timetable, the identity and the terms. Two finished applications sat blocked in a major store, one of them because the store would not allow a change to the publisher name on an account we administer. Selling direct means a fix reaches customers when it passes its own release gate, not when a reviewer gets to it.
How much does Beyond Digital Labs software cost?
Prices are not published yet, because downloads have not opened. Beyond Phone Sync and Beyond Permit Status are one time purchases. Every other application is a subscription, priced generously, with monthly or annual options and no clawback if you cancel.
Is Beyond Digital Labs software subscription or one time?
Both, depending on the application. Beyond Phone Sync and Beyond Permit Status are one time purchases you own outright. The rest are subscriptions, because they carry ongoing development, infrastructure and support cost. Which model applies is stated on each application page.
Can I download Beyond Digital Labs applications right now?
No. Downloads are closed until the applications are signed with a publicly trusted code signing certificate. Until then Windows would present them as coming from an unknown publisher, and we will not ask anyone to click past that warning. Releases open the day signing is in place.
Does Beyond Digital Labs software collect my data?
No usage analytics are collected, ever. The one exception is crash and error reports, which are opt in, tell you what they are sending, and can be switched off at any time. Your documents, recordings, ledgers and transcripts stay on your machine.
Does the software work offline?
Yes. The applications are local first, so the work happens on your own machine and network access is a feature rather than a requirement to launch. Licences verify against a key inside the application, so the software still opens if your internet is down, or if our servers are.
What happens to my licence if Beyond Digital Labs disappears?
The software keeps working. Licence checks run on your machine against a key compiled into the application, with no call to us required, so our continued existence is not a condition of your software opening. That is a design constraint rather than a promise.
How do I find out which program is using my GPU on Windows?
Task Manager shows GPU usage per process, but it gives you a process ID rather than the name of the agent or session responsible, and it offers no way to act on it. Beyond GPU Manager traces every GPU process back to the thing that owns it, and lets you suspend, resume or kill it from the same window.
Is there an offline dictation app for Windows that does not need a subscription per device?
Beyond Flow runs Whisper large-v3-turbo entirely on your own GPU, so your audio never leaves the machine and nothing is metered. It was built because commercial dictation tools charged a separate licence for each device, which meant paying three times to talk to our own computers.
Can I control my Android phone from my Windows PC?
Yes. Beyond Phone Sync puts your Android screen on your Windows desktop and lets your mouse and keyboard drive the handset, so you can copy text off the phone, type into it with a full size keyboard, and capture its screen. You pair once over USB or Wi-Fi and it reconnects wirelessly afterwards.
How can contractors track building permit status automatically?
Beyond Permit Status checks your permits every few minutes across six South Florida building departments and tells you what changed since last time. Every check is written to a signed audit trail, so a missed notification is not something that can quietly happen to you.

How much does custom software cost for a small business?
It depends entirely on the problem, which is why the first conversation is free and produces a plain answer before any money is discussed. If the work is worth doing you get a scope, a price and a timeline before anything starts.
Are Beyond Digital Labs downloads safe?
Every release publishes its SHA-256 and is verified automatically by Windows and by the installer before anything is written. You do not have to check anything by hand, though the hash is published so the claim can be audited rather than trusted. Downloads stay closed until code signing is in place.
What operating systems does Beyond Digital Labs support?
Windows 10 and Windows 11, on x64. Beyond Phone Sync also has an Android companion app, and Beyond Video Calls lets a guest join from any modern browser without installing anything.
