Fair terms, stated up front

Two models. Beyond Phone Sync and Beyond Permit Status are bought once and owned outright. Everything else is a subscription, priced generously. Which one applies is stated on every application’s own page, under the version.

Releases are held until code signing is in place, and we are not taking money for software you cannot download. The models below are settled. The numbers go up the day the first release opens.

One-time

Buy it, own it.

A single payment for a tool that does one job on your own machine and costs us nothing to keep running. It keeps working forever, including the version you bought, whether or not you ever pay us again.

Subscription

Generous, and honest about why.

Most of the catalogue is a subscription, and we are not going to dress that up. Continuous development, infrastructure and support are real ongoing costs, and a single payment cannot carry them. What we can promise is that the pricing is generous and the terms do not trap you.

Choosing the model

Why an application costs what it costs

We would rather tell you the rule than let you guess from a pricing table. Not everything here is a one time purchase, and we are not going to imply that it is.

One-time, and only these two Beyond Phone Sync and Beyond Permit Status. Narrow tools that run on your hardware and cost us nothing to keep alive, so charging monthly for them would be indefensible.
Everything else A subscription. These carry continuous development, infrastructure and support, and pretending otherwise would mean either a bad price or a product that quietly stops improving.
What generous means Not a per-seat squeeze and not a feature ladder. Companies and users are not pricing tiers here, and we are not going to meter software running on your own GPU.
Where to check Every application page states its model under the version. You will never find out at the checkout.
Commitments

Things we will not do to you later

These are the practices that make software feel like a trap. We are writing them down so they can be held against us.

No forced upgrades A new major version never disables the one you already paid for.
No feature removal We do not move a feature you paid for into a higher tier later.
No ransom If you stop paying a subscription, your data stays yours and stays exportable.
No surprise metering Anything running on your own hardware is never billed by usage.
